Exhibitions

Designed as a 'walk through our books', our exhibitions specialise in Aboriginal art. Selecting and acquiring works from leading arts centres, artists representatives, collectors and others, we create exhibitions representative of many periods and media that include the art of both established artists and rising stars. We also present dynamic talks and exhibition walks and provide comprehensive information on the artists, their region and its history, and each work's stylistic qualities and significance.

Our regular exhibition partner is Salt Contemporary Art in Queenscliff, Victoria, an atmospheric two-storey gallery that enables a spacious display of more than 40 significant artworks. Special exhibitions are devoted to particular themes or periods while our selection of Aboriginal art is displayed throughout the year in tandem with the work of artists represented by Salt.

Our other exhibitions include an annual summer survey of Aboriginal art at the highly popular Flinders Village Cafe in our home region of Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

Our programme for 2010 includes major exhibitions with select leading partner galleries and venues in Australia and internationally.
