About us
McCulloch & McCulloch is an Australian visual arts publishing and art company established by mother and daughter publishers and art writers Susan McCulloch and Emily McCulloch Childs. We specialise in high-quality, illustrative and accessible books on Australian and Aboriginal art. These include the 'bible’ of Australian art McCulloch’s Encyclopedia of Australian Art and the best-selling McCulloch's Contemporary Aboriginal Art: the complete guide.
We also work in partnership with Aboriginal art centres, leading collectors, galleries and tertiary institutions to create, publish, market and distribute their books.
We have a dynamic approach to marketing and sales of our books which includes selling direct and delivery free (within Australia), through our own mailing lists, through our books’ partner galleries, and others including a range of galleries, auction houses and government arts marketing agencies. We also distribute through leading trade distributors Australia-wide and internationally.
We also curate exhibitions relating to the books we publish, judge major prizes and awards and write for leading art media.
