McCulloch & McCulloch is a dynamic Australian art company that was originally established by art writers, publishers and curators Susan McCulloch and Emily McCulloch Childs in 2003 to research, write and produce the 4th edition of McCulloch’s Encyclopedia of Australian Art.
Our activities include:
Publishing books on Australian art with a particular emphasis on Aboriginal art
Exhibition curating and presentation
Art writing for a variety of leading art and other media
Art prize judging
Talks on Australian and Aboriginal art
Art consultancy
We work in partnership with arts centres, government agencies, collectors and tertiary institutions to publish books on the art of particular regions or more specialised art topics as well as writing and publishing our own titles.
McCulloch & McCulloch also curate exhibitions for public galleries and present, in partnership with select galleries, exhibitions that relate to the art of our books. We judge leading art prizes and awards around Australia, give highly popular illustrated talks on Australian art, write for leading art magazines and select media and are frequently asked to appear on forums and to open exhibitions.
